GCE is the leading European producer and distributor of equipment and systems for flow and pressure control of industrial and medical gases. The company manufactures products ranging from pressure regulators and blowpipes for cutting and welding to sophisticated gas supply systems for the medical and the electronics industries. Headquartered in Malmo, Sweden with primary production facilities in the Czech Republic and Poland, GCE employs over 1,100 people and generates turnover in excess of €100m. Since its creation in 1987, GCE has grown organically and through acquisitions to establish a strong pan-European platform from which there are clear opportunities to grow in established as well as new markets.
Argan team members partnered with the existing management team in the buyout of GCE in 2005. Following the acquisition in 2005, GCE has centralised its European production facilities to the Czech Republic and Poland, while initiating an expansion into the Asian market through the establishment of operations in China. Argan Capital continues to support the management in further developing GCE into the clear market leader in its field.
