Paroc
Paroc is a leading manufacturer of stone wool insulation products, with particularly strong market positions in the Nordic region and the Baltic States. Helsinki-based Paroc employs over 2,000 people in 13 countries and has seven factories in Finland, Sweden, Lithuania and Poland. From this diverse manufacturing base and generates almost €400 million of revenues. The diverse production platform provides the company with a deep penetration in its core markets while also positioning the company well for further expansion into the high-growth economies of Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS.
In early 2003, Argan team members partnered with the management team to lead the buyout of the company. During our ownership, Paroc grew revenues significantly and almost doubled EBITDA. Growth was driven primarily by increased production capacity and geographic expansion to the emerging European markets. In September 2006, the company was sold to Arcapita.
